DESCRIPTION:For all new staff and all staff needing to renew their Prevent training \nPrevent Duty training is a requirement for all staff and governance\, the course includes mandatory content to meet the requirements of the Prevent Duty\, with Home Office content with local contextual information provided by CTU and Education Safeguarding for Telford and Wrekin \nDelivered by Telford and Wrekin Council\, the training will provide delegates with the following: \n• the Prevent Duty and the requirements placed on staff and governance under the duty\n• the local contextual Prevent risks\n• radicalisation and be able to spot indicators someone may be susceptible to radicalisation\n• the risks of different extremist ideologies\n• how to make a Prevent referral\n• the Chanel programme of support \n  \nTraining will be delivered via Teams\, through Telford and Wrekin Council. Bookings will need to be made through Telford and Wrekin\, via your academy (please see your operations/office manager in your academy to make this booking) \nA Teams link will be sent to all delegates prior to the commencement of the training
